Pearl Harbor
At Pearl Harbor Hawaii, on the morning of December 7, 1941 the Japanese Navy attacked Pearl Harbor. The base was attacked by 353 Japanese fighters, bomber and torpedo planes in two waves, launched from six aircraft carriers. All eight u.s. Navy battleships were damaged, with four being sunk. The Japanese also sunk or damaged three cruisers, three destroyers, an anti- aircraft training ship, and one minelayer. 188 u.s. aircraft were destroyed and 2,402 Americans were killed and 1,282 wounded.
The movies accurate- The events were good, with the people dieing and ships blowing up, what it feels like to lose a loved one and the hospitals back then were like that. Inaccurate- I think the planes could of been better, make the smoke look more real. The movie all together was amazing, although i was mad that Danny died!! I thought it was a good movie, and i can never imagine going through that. I think that they should of kept Danny alive, that is the only problem i have with the movie. |

The Fighter
The Fighter is based on the true story of 1990s welterweight boxer Micky Ward and his crazy ex-fighter brother Dicky. Micky is a plucky, talented boxer who must carry a terrible burden: his brother-cum-trainer Dicky. Dicky was himself a boxing force to be reckoned with 10 years before, when he knocked down Sugar Ray Leonard in the ring. Now he's addicted to crack.
Micky is loyal to Dicky, and moreover tolerates being smothered by a houseful of grownup sisters and endures his ferocious mom mismanaging his career. Only his girlfriend Charlene is telling him to get rid of these idiots before it's too late. |
